Anxiety is something that everyone experiences from time to time, however, there can be a point where anxiety is no longer helpful and can instead hinder a person’s quality of life- finding yourself get into a vicious cycle of worrying thoughts and ‘what if’ scenarios, without being able to find answers and solutions. Anxiety can have both physical and psychological symptoms such as difficulty concentrating or sleeping, dizziness, nausea, difficulty breathing, feelings of restlessness and worry. There are many ways to combat feelings of anxiety and regulate yourself, talking therapy being one of the most effective ways to learn how to deal with it.

Our Practitioners:

“Anxiety and stress are facts of life. That does not mean that we have to be ruled by these thoughts and feelings, but another fact is that many of us have lives that are dominated by these two states. We can not rid ourselves of anxiety and stress and neither should we, but what each of us has the ability to do is that we can learn about them and how we can deal with them. What has happened in our life experiences that has made us this way and what is happening in our internal dialogue that sustains the feelings of anxiety and stress? All manner of unpleasant things happen to us in these states, not just in our minds but also our bodies. Over time, this can lead to chronic difficulties that adds yet further worries to an already over-stressed system. By assisting you on working towards increased self-knowledge, compassion for self and the motivation to make adjustments we can take very important steps towards alleviating anxiety and making peace with uncertainty.” Dylan Peters, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor >

“Anxiety and stress can manifest in many different ways, impacting our daily life and overall wellbeing. My approach of integrative therapy places an emphasis on developing a safe therapeutic environment where together we can explore how your experience of anxiety and stress is currently impacting you. This may involve gaining a better understanding of what internal and external factors are contributing to your anxiety or stress, and exploring ways to make living with anxiety and stress more manageable, such as: identifying and reframing unhelpful patterns of thought, developing self-understanding and self-compassion, and building self-caring coping strategies to alleviate anxiety and stress. While it may not be possible to rid ourselves of anxiety or stress completely, it is possible to create lasting and meaningful positive changes in our relationship with them.” Marianne Lucas, Integrative Therapist>

Yuka Mando, Hypnotherapist,

” Anxiety and stress can hinder daily life and overall well-being. My approach blends Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) with Future Hypnotherapy, Regression Therapy, and Self-Hypnosis Training, helping clients build healthier coping mechanisms and regain control.

Both can manifest through physical symptoms like tension, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and even panic attacks.
To effectively manage anxiety and stress, I focus on:

✅ Identifying and reframing negative thought patterns
✅ Building emotional resilience and self-regulation skills
✅ Developing relaxation and coping techniques for long-term well-being

Techniques I Use to Help Clients
1. Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) for Anxiety and Stress
2. Future Hypnotherapy – Rehearsing a Calm and Confident Future: Future hypnotherapy helps clients visualise their ideal emotional state and mentally practice responding to challenges with ease. By experiencing a positive future in hypnosis, clients strengthen new neural pathways that support calm, confident, and proactive responses in real life.
3. Regression Therapy – Releasing Root Causes of Anxiety : Some anxieties stem from past experiences, unresolved emotions, or limiting beliefs formed in childhood. Regression therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals who experience persistent anxiety without a clear cause or those who feel emotionally “stuck” in past experiences.
4. Self-Hypnosis for Daily Stress Management: By integrating self-hypnosis into daily routines, clients build resilience and develop a greater sense of inner calm, even in high-stress situations.

Instead of simply managing symptoms, this approach helps clients rewire their subconscious patterns to create lasting change. Through hypnotherapy, they learn to approach life with a calmer, more empowered mindset, free from the constraints of anxiety and stress.” Yuka Mando, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist>
