Neurodiversity Affirming TherapyNeurodiversity-affirming therapy is based on the understanding that human minds naturally vary and that these differences enrich our communities. Rather than viewing neurodivergence as something to correct or change, this approach values and supports each person’s unique way of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world.

In therapy, we explore your strengths and challenges in ways that respect your identity and needs. Practitioners aim to create a space where clients can be themselves without judgment or pressure to mask or fit in. Sessions may explore topics such as self-acceptance, relationships, burnout, communication, or navigating systems that aren’t always designed with neurodivergent people in mind.

This approach draws on trauma-informed and client-centred principles, meaning that the therapy process is led by your experiences and pace. You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from this approach. What matters is how you understand and relate to your own mind.

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy invites clients to build self-awareness, resilience, and confidence while finding ways of living that align with who they are.
