Katya Poznyak, Integrative Psychotherapist and Couple Counsellor
BACP registered
“Every journey begins with a single step. Therapy is your space to explore, reflect, and grow—an empowering process where challenges become opportunities, and self-discovery leads to lasting change.”
Katya is a BACP-registered Integrative Psychotherapist. She works with individuals and couples on a short- and long-term basis. Katya believes that providing a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where clients feel accepted, cared for, and supported is fundamental to any therapeutic progress. Katya works with her clients relationally, as she is convinced that feeling connected to your therapist is, in itself, healing.
How she works
During sessions, clients are invited to explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviours—past or present—to better understand what might be contributing to their current struggles. It is about uncovering any unhelpful patterns together and working to transform them into new, healthier ones. You are the expert on your own life, but Katya can help illuminate blind spots that may be holding you back. As an integrative psychotherapist, she tailors her approach to align with your unique personality, current circumstances, and aspirations. Drawing from a diverse range of modalities and techniques—including Psychodynamic, Interpersonal, CBT, Humanistic, Phenomenological/Existential, Transpersonal, Relational, Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis—she provides a personalised, flexible framework to support your journey.
Therapy has been an integral part of my personal transformative journey. It not only helped me survive crises and life-changing events such as divorce, loss, career changes, becoming a parent, and working in the high-pressure environment of finance, but it also allowed me to find meaning in each of those events and gain a better understanding of human nature and human relationships. Together, we can learn to appreciate the transformative power of difficult experiences, and I will be there to support you every step of the way.

Relationships and Couple Counselling
Relationships can be a source of discontent affecting our general well-being, work, sleep, friendships. They are also one of the greatest resources for feeling fulfilled, joyful, and successful. This is why she is passionate about helping couples. Katya believes that any problem in a relationship can be an opportunity for growth as a couple as well as individually, and that can be very rewarding. Katya offers couples a safe, warm, and confidential space to explore your journey as a couple – how it all started and why now you find yourself feeling disconnected.
She will support you in understanding why and how your relationship became a struggle. Together you will find a way to get out of negative cycles and establish better ways of communicating. Your patterns of relating may reveal something that will help you understand yourself and each other better and become more accepting.
