“We will work together to uncover and address the root causes of your distress, empowering you to embrace life to the fullest.”

Magdalena Wachowska is an experienced counsellor and a fully qualified, BACP accredited therapist.

Magdalena works with people experiencing an array of different mental health challenges, emotional difficulties, and interpersonal relationship issues.

“I provide a safe and confidential space, where you and I can work together to explore whatever concerns, or difficulties, you might be experiencing. These might be concerns arising from recent events, or long-standing issues that you feel are preventing you from fully engaging in your life. I will help you approach these areas of difficulty, and I will support you as we explore and understand why certain matters are causing distress and affecting your day-to-day life, relationships or your own perception of yourself.” Magdalena Wachowska

Trauma/PTSD:

Magdalena has integrated into her practice the new approach to the healing of trauma, she understands that traumatic experiences affect not only one’s mind, but also the body and both need to be healed. Trauma changes the brain and the body, and similarly, healing does too.

Women’s Health/Hormonal imbalance:

Magdalena is curious and inquisitive about the co-revelations between women’s hormonal imbalance and mental health at any stage of their lives. It is an aspect of women’s mental health that is often neglected, she seeks to aid and help identify whether hormonal imbalance plays a role in the mental health struggles a person faces.

Neurodiversity:

Neuroscience gave her a new insight into neurodiversity prompting her to learn the best ways of supporting neurodiverse clients, so they can feel confident and thrive. She can guide and encourage any lifestyle changes which can benefit physical and mental health. Magdalena can give useful self-soothing and introspective tools which help in emotional self-regulation.

She adheres to the BACP Ethical Framework, and I am fully insured. I have worked for therapy charities, counselling services and the third sector.

She is a Person-centred therapist who uses different approaches from CBT to Psychodynamic and Relational therapy.
