What Is PSYCH-K™?

PSYCH-K™ is a transformational process developed by Robert M. Williams, M.A., in the late 1980s. It is classified as a form of energy psychology and is designed to facilitate rapid and lasting change in subconscious beliefs that may be self-limiting or self-sabotaging. The method is based on the understanding that the subconscious mind governs approximately 95% of our thoughts and behaviours, and that lasting change requires working directly with this part of the mind.

How Does It Work?

PSYCH-K™ uses a series of structured protocols that combine:

  • Muscle testing (applied kinesiology) to communicate with the subconscious
  • Whole-brain integration techniques to create a balanced state between the brain’s hemispheres
  • Postural and movement-based processes to facilitate belief change
  • Focused intention and verbal affirmations to align conscious goals with subconscious programming

These techniques are designed to create what PSYCH-K™ calls a “Whole-Brain State,” which is believed to enhance learning and change at the subconscious level.

What Can It Help With?

PSYCH-K™ is used to address a wide range of issues, including:

  • Behavioural and habit change
  • Stress reduction
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Health and wellness goals
  • Spiritual growth and alignment
  • Relationship patterns
  • Anxiety and emotional blocks

It is not a diagnostic or clinical therapy, but rather a self-help and facilitation tool that can be used independently or alongside other therapeutic modalities.

Philosophical Foundation

PSYCH-K™ emphasises that beliefs shape perception, and perception shapes reality. By changing subconscious beliefs, individuals can shift their experience of life. The process is described as spiritual in nature, aiming to reconnect individuals with their innate wisdom and potential. It is endorsed by figures such as Dr. Bruce Lipton, a cellular biologist known for his work on the biology of belief.
