Raul Aparici
Gestalt Psychotherapist and UKCP member
“Real transformation starts with self-acceptance. The rest follows.”
Psychotherapy, for Raul, is a journey of discovery—an opportunity to explore and give voice to the complex and sometimes challenging parts of ourselves. As a Gestalt psychotherapist, he embraces a process-based, relational, and embodied approach, creating a space where clients can navigate grief, depression, low mood, and anxiety with authenticity and presence. His work is rooted in the belief that therapy is not solely for crisis intervention but serves as a powerful tool for deepening self-awareness and personal growth.
Raul works both long-term and short-term, offering online and face-to-face sessions for individuals from all walks of life. He specialises in supporting LGBTQ clients, helping them move through life’s transitions with clarity, resilience, and self-acceptance. With a background that bridges academic rigor and practical application, he combines his expertise in English Literature, Critical Theory, and Gestalt Therapy to cultivate meaningful therapeutic conversations that transcend conventional approaches.
Raul’s work is deeply relational, forward-thinking, and attuned to the realities of human connection. Whether working one-on-one in therapy, facilitating group discussions, or shaping spaces for collective learning, his approach remains centered on fostering self-awareness, emotional presence, and meaningful transformation.
Beyond the therapy room, Raul’s commitment to emotional and psychological well-being extends into broader spaces. He has volunteered for creative writing workshops designed for cancer patients, offering a therapeutic lens through storytelling to help individuals process their experiences and connect with their inner narratives. Additionally, he leads team training programs with a psychological foundation, supporting organisations in cultivating emotionally intelligent leadership, authentic communication, and collaborative resilience.
At its core, Raul’s practice invites individuals into a space where therapy is not just about resolving distress but about discovering new possibilities within themselves—an ongoing journey of self-exploration, empowerment, and growth.
