Dr. Daniel Moore, Chartered Counselling Psychologist BPS accredited and registered with HCPC, holding a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.

“Healing begins with the courage to explore one’s inner world in a space of safety, understanding, and connection.”

Dr. Daniel Moore is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist who places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of every journey. He is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental, and open space where clients can explore their life experiences. Dr Dan ensures his clients feel comfortable discussing deeply personal and often distressing thoughts and emotions as he understands that beginning therapy—especially for the first time—can feel daunting.

Dr. Moore supports clients facing a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Eating Disorders
  • Chronic Illness
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Low self-esteem
  • Attachment issues
  • Addiction
  • Low mood
  • OCD

His approach as an integrative therapist allows him to draw on a variety of modalities to tailor his work to the unique needs of each client. These modalities include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused approaches, compassion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and person-centred therapy. At the core of all his work lies a strong humanistic foundation.

With over 11 years of experience in mental health, Dr. Moore has worked extensively with adults and groups. His professional journey began in the secure forensic mental health sector, where he provided support for several years. He later moved to specialist trauma services within the NHS and gained additional expertise at a leading eating disorder clinic. During his training, he further expanded his knowledge by working in community settings, utilising psychodynamic techniques with adults facing diverse challenges.

He works with individuals and Couples:

I work integratively with couples, tailoring my approach to suit the unique needs and dynamics of each relationship. I place particular importance on the therapeutic relationship, creating a collaborative and supportive space where both partners feel safe to explore their experiences. Drawing on a range of psychological models, I help couples make sense of emotional patterns, improve communication, and develop more meaningful, connected ways of relating

I know it can be a challenge to find a therapist you feel comfortable and at ease with. So, I offer a free 15 minute introduction call. This gives us both a chance to understand what are the current challenges, for you to ask questions and to see if you feel we could work together. I look forward to joining you in your journey towards wellness.
