I believe that this book relates much more accurately to my experience of disordered eating than the other books I have read (with the exception of “sensing the self”).

As a sufferer and someone who has recovered, I found it closer to my truth than the conventional psychodynamic view.
So many books do not even address the issues of not feeling heard or understood or the true dynamic between the mother and the child.
I would also agree that sex is only relevant in the way it relates to psychological invasion rather than physical.

This book gave me insight while I was recovering and more now that I have recovered.
