Dr Sabrina Marin, Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Mindfulness Practitioner
“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes”
Carl Jung
“In order to manage a situation, or remove a problem you must address its source, using the clues provided by the symptoms, in this way, permanent relief from suffering is attainable” Sabrina Marin
Sabrina offers a secure space for clients to explain their present situation and unearth the source of their experience, without any judgement. From this starting point, specific goals and targets can be mutually set to achieve the most beneficial outcomes. Sabrina works from a psychodynamic and holistic perspective, understanding the profound connection between the mind and body. This approach dramatically increases the feeling of well-being during all the challenge’s one might face in their daily lives.
Therapy is a process, during which, the patient is able to acknowledge the reality of their current existence, subjectively and crucially, at their own pace. In this way, we can find that which we are all searching for- inner peace.
Sabrina’s Process
We all long to make sense of our lives and their challenges, During sessions with Sabrina, personal introspection is encouraged, in conjunction with mindfulness. Over time, clients gain the ability to observe their own mind and choose beneficial ways of thinking and positive attitudes over painful experiences and memories.
During the initial consultation, the client will be professionally assessed and advised of a personalised plan. This will comprise specific, attainable step-by-step goals mutually agreed upon to attain the most beneficial results based on their current situation. Sabrina’s sessions are flexible and dynamic, always taking into account the emotional state of her client at that time.
How many sessions will it take?
This is an excellent question and will depend upon multiple factors:
• Personal history.
• The nature of the condition.
• Possible causes.
• Specific symptoms.
• Level of severity of those symptoms.
• The length of time that they have been presenting.
• Personality traits.
A plan will be presented, according to the outcome of the initial assessment and necessarily, based upon the unique requirements of each client.
