Piers Wilson, Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist

“Through genuine presence and understanding, I strive to create a safe, empowering space for healing and growth, where individuals can reconnect with their true selves and navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.”

Piers Wilson is a trauma-informed and polyvagal-informed Person-Centred counsellor and psychotherapist, dedicated to facilitating a process that encourages reconnection with your sense of safety and inner experience. In your work together, he aims to create a collaborative, non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. By being fully present with you, he can support the conditions for personal growth to naturally emerge, without any pressure or expectation. This process is about fostering a deeper understanding of yourself and your journey, allowing space for healing and meaningful change as you rediscover your own path forward.

My Approach
Empowering, Not Pathologising

I view human distress as a natural response to life’s challenges, not as a sign of illness. Instead of focusing on labels, we’ll explore the ways you’ve adapted to navigate the world and help you find new, more supportive pathways forward.

Trauma-Informed and Somatic Awareness

Informed by Polyvagal Theory and the Power Threat Meaning Framework, Piers brings an understanding of how trauma and stress affect the body and mind. Together, we will explore your experiences in a way that feels safe and grounding, helping you reconnect with your inner balance and regulation.

What You Can Expect
Through our work together, you may find:

  • Clarity and Self-Understanding: Gain insight into your emotions and the patterns that shape your experiences.
  •  Healing and Growth: Process past wounds and move toward healing in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
  • Stronger Relationships: Cultivate healthier connections with yourself and others.
  •  Resilience and Balance: Develop ways to navigate challenges with greater ease and confidence.

Collaborative and Flexible Therapy
I offer a collaborative approach tailored to your needs. Together, we’ll build a shared understanding of your experiences and move through the healing process at your pace. Therapy is not linear, and I respect your rhythm, revisiting places of safety and exploration as needed.

A Safe and Inclusive Space
I welcome individuals and couples from all walks of life, creating a respectful, inclusive environment where you feel heard, understood, and accepted.

Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, trauma, relational struggles, or self-exploration, my role is to help you feel more connected, resilient, and at ease
with yourself. Therapy can lead to profound shifts, helping you build a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with who you are.

This may not be an easy journey, yet it’s not one you need to walk alone. By facilitating your own process and tapping into your inner resources, I strive to ensure that you feel genuinely supported, seen, heard, and valued as you embark on your journey of self-discovery and healing.
