Trauma is when a person experiences very stressful, frightening or distressing events that are difficult to cope with or out of our control. It could be one incident, or an ongoing event that happens over a long period of time. Most people will experience an event in their lives that could be considered traumatic. There are many types of therapy a person could embark on to tackle your trauma and learn to accept, heal and move forward.

Our Practitioners:

“I understands that traumatic experiences affect not only one’s mind, but also the body and both need to be healed. Trauma changes the brain and the body, and similarly, healing does too.” Magdalena Wachowska, Humanistic Integrative Therapist >

“By integrating humanistic and transpersonal psychotherapy approaches, you can address the emotional, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of healing, empowering clients to overcome the challenges of trauma and rebuild their lives. A priority is creating a safe and stable therapeutic environment, which may involve grounding techniques, embodied awareness, and relaxation exercises. Central to the therapeutic work is focusing on the client’s subjective experience and empowering them to lead their healing journey. Transpersonal therapy then explores the spiritual and existential aspects of the human experience, helping clients find meaning and purpose in their lives after trauma.” Iqra Humayyon, Integrative Therapist >
